LLB (Hons) Law
I feel really proud that I am graduating with a first class Honours in Law. I never imagined it would be possible. I am really excited to be closing one chapter in my life and starting a new one. I love a challenge and I feel ready to be moving on now.

I came to Abertay because it was firstly easy to commute to and secondly, the classes were very small, and I liked the personal interaction you got with the lecturers. The support from the lecturers have truly been second to none. Abertay also promised on a practical aspect to the degree and highlighted the opportunity to go abroad, take part in international law week and do work experience in a law office – the promises were fulfilled.
There have been so many highlights at Abertay – at least one per year. In first year, it would have to have been the law ball. It was such a good way to end first year and bring the whole year together and get to know everybody better. In second year, I was given the opportunity to go to Belgium to take part in international law week. It was such a fun experience and it gave me the opportunity to come out of my shell and actually enjoy and put into practice what I had been learning. For me, third year was the most difficult year but I was given the great opportunity to do some work experience in a law office. Finally, I think fourth year has been the best year of my time in education. It was the most fun and I made the best of friends in this year. Although it was difficult, I had such a great time with my friends getting through it.
I am currently working full time at Digby Brown Solicitors, where I was offered a legal traineeship. In September I will complete the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Dundee University and then commence my two year traineeship in September 2020 to qualify as a solicitor.
