Your Graduation ceremony will be at the Caird Hall in the city square.
We know how important this day is for you and those who have supported you. The information here is designed to give you all the details you need about what to expect and what to do in advance of the ceremony.
Some of this is information is about Winter 2022 Graduation, but our graduation ceremonies are very similar whether they are in the winter or the summer.
This is a person who is graduating but hasn't yet done so.
Students from all Academic Schools will graduate:
Applied Sciences
Business, Law and Social Sciences
Design and Informatics
Graduate School
Each graduand (the person who is graduating) or graduate who's registered to attend the ceremony will be given their own invitation card and an allocated seat number.
Your seat number is very important, so please keep this safe to bring with you to the ceremony.
Guest tickets are available to buy through the Graduation Registration process on OASIS at a cost of £13 each (winter 2022 prices, may change).
Each graduating student is allocated a maximum of three guest tickets to buy.
Tickets for children under five are free of charge but must be included as part of the number of guest tickets you're allocated. Children aged two and under, and who can sit on an adult’s knee, do not need a ticket.
Depending on numbers attending, we may be able to offer further guest tickets nearer the time. If this is the case, all graduands registered to attend will be emailed after the registration deadline, with details about how to buy them.
Registration desks will be set up on campus in the Old College Building, which will allow you to collect your invitation card, seat number and any guests tickets you've purchased.
We recommend booking any accommodation you need for yourself, friends or family as early as possible.
You can find useful information on accommodation on the VisitScotland pages for Dundee and Angus or Perthshire.
The University continues to promote the Scottish Government's Covid-19 guidance at all events, including Graduation. We encourage those attending to take a common sense and courteous approach and to be aware of the key 'Covid Sense' steps to help reduce the transmission of the virus.
Getting your vaccines if offered to ensure you are fully protected.
Following the latest guidance if you are feeling unwell with symptoms or have a fever.
Socialising in well-ventilated spaces where possible.
Wearing a face covering in indoor public places and on public transport.
Washing your hands and cleaning surfaces regularly.
If you have symptoms of Covid, or feel unwell on the day, please do not attend the ceremony.
If you have any questions relating to Graduation, please email graduationevents@abertay.ac.uk.
