Abertay University Undergraduate Open Days 2026

Open Day: Saturday 24 October 2026

Join us on Saturday 24 October to meet the lecturers who teach your course, get hands-on in our labs and see a campus where everything is a few minutes' walk apart. We're 10 minutes from Dundee rail and bus stations.

Talks and activities run from 9.30am to 4pm. Can only make the afternoon? The welcome talk and most subject sessions run again later in the day.

Booked your place? Here’s what to do next:

Check your confirmation email and keep an eye on your inbox for further timings and travel info.
Browse a few courses you’re interested in so you know which talks to prioritise.
Start planning your day by checking out the Open Day programme.
Arrive and check-in anytime from 9am on the day. If you aren't attending any talks first thing, don't worry about getting here early, check-in will be open all day.

What happens at an Abertay Open Day?

Most subjects run a talk and a hands-on session. Some examples:

Forensic sciences: examine blood and fingermarks, then tour our crime scene house.
Games and computer arts: staff and student demos run all day.
Engineering: take on a design challenge in our geotechnics and structures lab.
Sport and exercise: see our strength and conditioning, biomechanics, physiology and sport therapy labs in action.
Psychology: try a forensic psychology activity (morning only).

You can also tour the campus, see student accommodation and join a guided walk around Dundee city centre.

Coming from college?

If you're currently studying an HNC or HND, you may be able to start your degree in 2nd or 3rd year. Come to our Coming from College talk (10.45am or 2.15pm), or check which Abertay degrees your course leads to.

Travelling from outside Scotland or the UK?

We’d love to see you on campus, but if you can’t make it, you can still explore Abertay through our Online Open Days and virtual campus content.
