Most student accommodation in Dundee is run by private providers. You book and contract directly with the provider, not the University. For some accommodation, we've arranged a preferential rate for Abertay students. Where that applies, we say so below.

Telephone House is a new student residence on West Bell Street, directly opposite the Abertay campus, opening for September 2026. It's operated by Mezzino, who also run accommodation at Lyon Street and Meadowside.

Room types include ensuite rooms in shared flats and self-contained studios. The building includes a gym, study and social spaces, a gaming room, a dining room and a private landscaped courtyard, with high-speed internet.

Parker House is in the heart of Dundee, just a five-minute walk from campus. It’s managed by iQ Student Accommodation, one of the UK’s largest student housing providers. We’ve negotiated a limited number of rooms at a preferential rate for Abertay students, which is below iQ’s standard published price.

All rooms are self-contained with an en suite bathroom. The difference between tiers is room size and finish. Every tier includes all bills, wifi and access to the same communal facilities.
All flats have shared kitchens and are mixed female and male - there are no single sex flats in Parker House.

We’ve negotiated a limited allocation of rooms at Parker House at a reduced rate for Abertay students. Here’s how it works:
Apply through a dedicated link for Abertay students when booking opens. We’ll email you a direct link (typically in Spring).
Rooms are allocated first-come, first-served within our allocation.
Once our allocation is filled, you can still book at Parker House directly through iQ’s website at their standard rate — same rooms, same building, same all-bills-included package.
There’s no difference in the room or service between our rate and iQ’s standard rate.
Lyon Street Terrace is newly refurbished with 126 bedrooms divided into one, two and three bedrooms flats. There are lots of local shops nearby. 10-minute walk from campus and close to bus routes. CCTV with secure key entry and 24/7 onsite support.

Situated right on the edge of campus, Meadowside is very central with great access to shopping and leisure facilities. The flats are self-catering units of six or nine bedrooms. Each flat has a large communal kitchen/living room area which is bright and spacious.
There's 24/7 CCTV with secure key entry, as well as 24/7 onsite support from the accommodation provider team.

Keiller Court is in the city centre, around a 10-minute walk from campus, operated by Mezzino. Rooms are single and double study bedrooms in flats of three to five bedrooms, with shared kitchens and living areas, and there's a private courtyard for residents.
All bills are included, along with high-speed internet, contents insurance and a TV licence. Each flat has its own washer/dryer and dishwasher. Security includes 24/7 CCTV, key-fob entry and on-site staff, with bike storage and a parcel service.

Greenmarket Studios sits near the railway station and the Overgate centre, around a 13-minute walk from campus, operated by Prestige Student Living. Room types are self-contained studios in a range of sizes, plus two-bed apartments, and some rooms have sea views.
All bills are included, with high-speed internet and contents insurance. Shared facilities include a communal lounge, a study area and a laundry room, with CCTV throughout.

Parklands opened in 2025 and is around a 5-minute walk from campus, operated by Prestige Student Living. Room types are en suite rooms with shared kitchens, and self-contained studios.
All bills are included, with high-speed internet and contents insurance. Facilities include an on-site gym, a games area, a sky lounge and rooftop terrace with city views, air-conditioned study pods, a laundry room and bike storage. Parking is limited to a few paid spaces. Security includes CCTV and on-site maintenance.
