Professor Lynne Boddy

Professor Lynne Boddy has won many awards – and for good reason.

She’s been given the Marsh Award for Ecology, the Frances Hoggan Medal of the Learned Society of Wales and now she’s been awarded an honorary doctorate by Abertay University.

Lynne is a Professor of Mycology and is one of the leading scientists in her field.

She’s co-authored or edited seven books, written more than 250 scientific papers and is chief editor of the Fungal Ecology journal.

Lynne’s a former president of the British Mycological Society, and jointly put together an incredible gold medal winning display on the role of fungi for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

She’s been working at Cardiff University since 1983.
