From 2pm Friday 10th August 2018 the Applicants Portal, which includes the Residences Application, will be hibernating due to the exam results embargo period. It will wake up again at 12pm on Thursday 16th August 2018. During this period no-one will be able to access the Residences Online Application (not even us!) but we'll be back live and up-to-date from 12noon on Thurs 16th.

Those who have already applied for halls and hoping to change to Unconditional Firm on 16th August will receive an email from us on that day - please do have patience as we will have many applications and queries to get through, but we will be in touch. Remember to check your junk mail before contacting us in case our email has gone in there.

For those already holding accommodation offers - don't worry, you will be able to access the online system from 9am on Thurs 16th Aug and we will extend contract acceptance dates to reflect this period of downtime.

Good luck if you are awaiting results!  Our office is open as usual during the full embargo period. If you have any queries do try our FAQ's or drop us an email.

Our residences are currently fully booked. However, we’re looking into alternative options and checking for any cancellations in our own accommodation.

If you’ve not already applied for accommodation, please log onto OASIS and apply now. You’ll be added to our waiting list and contacted direct with updates and any changes in the situation.

We’ve contacted local accommodation providers and can confirm that the following companies can offer accommodation to Abertay students:

We’ve also gathered a list of some of the private landlords in the area that may be able to help.

Dundee City Council provides a list of registered landlords in the area. You can check to see if the landlord/property you’re interested in is listed on the register here (click on Public Search, then Public Search facility).

When considering private accommodation, there are a number of things to think about. Dundee City Council provides help and advice about renting in the private sector here.

Any private lease would need to be arranged and agreed directly with the accommodation provider, and the University cannot take responsibility for any related terms/conditions. As with any lease, you should be sure of any terms before signing.

The following services can provide help, information and advice:

Your Home Away from Home

For many of you, coming to university is your first time living away from home.

Having your own space can be a great experience, and living in university accommodation gives you the comfort of knowing you're in a safe, well-maintained environment. You're also in the perfect place to make new friends and have a lot of fun.

Whichever residence you stay in, security and maintenance staff are available 24 hours a day, and a team of cleaners ensure all your shared spaces are cleaned regularly.
