Our exciting postgraduate taught programmes consist of seminars, tutorials or lectures, and/or contact time with a tutor. Masters of Research (MRes) programmes can fall under the definition of 'postgraduate taught.'

If you're a Scottish student planning to study for your first full-time postgraduate qualification in academic year 2023/24, then you can apply for a postgraduate loan up to £7,000 from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS).

If you're a part-time Scottish student, from academic year 2023/24 you can apply for a SAAS loan of up to £3,500 per year. For a part-time programme to qualify for SAAS funding, it must be no more than twice the length of the equivalent full-time course.

Scottish postgraduate students can also apply for a postgraduate living cost loan of up to £4,500.

The SAAS postgraduate funding application deadlines are:
1 August for courses that start between 1 August and 31 December
1 January for courses that start between 1 January and 31 March
1 April for courses that start between 1 April and 30 June
1 July for courses that start between 1 July and 31 July

If you're a student living in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, then you can apply for a postgraduate loan to cover your tuition fees and living costs.

If you're an EU or international student, you're expected to have sufficient funds available to cover your postgraduate tuition fees before the start of each academic year. You need to pay the whole annual fee in advance. You pay your fees during the online registration process.
