Congratulations on your Graduation - what now?
I am excited to start my master, Mental Health in Children and Young People: Psychological Approaches with Edinburgh University. I chose this course because it is part time and it runs online. This allows me to work full time. I recently got offered a position as an Assistant Psychologist with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services so I am really excited for this new chapter in my life.

What's your long term ambition?
Career wise, I would love to be a Clinical Child Psychologist. On a personal note, a big happy family.
How are you feeling now that your time at Abertay has come to an end?
While I do generally struggle with "endings" I think that I feel particularly positive about this one. I am happy and proud with everything I achieved during my studies. The graduation ceremony was a great event and I am glad for the opportunity to celebrate it with everyone else including my family and friends.
Why did you decide to study at Abertay?
Abertay is the only university in Scotland that offers a BPS accredited degree in Psychology that is joint with Counselling. The online website offered all the information I needed to make up my decision about the course and its modules.
What were the highlights of your time at Abertay?
Hmmm, I would have to say the amazing staff that pushed and inspired me to learn, grow and reflect. They offered both knowledge and support. Being a small university definitely have its advantages.
How did you find having to move online due to COVID-19?
Challenging. I enjoy the little informal chats with colleagues and lecturers and the atmosphere and medium face to face teaching provides so I did struggle to begin with. Luckily, I kept busy with other engagements and endeavours and time passed on relatively quick, or at lest retrospectively.
