Why did you choose to come to Abertay?

I wanted to learn Finance and Business and wanted to be able to apply it rather than focus purely on theory. The Dundee Business School, in my opinion, is the best place to do that. Studying at Abertay not only allowed me to start my own tech business, but also has helped me get to where I am now working for Lloyds Bank in Financial Markets. It's a fantastic place to learn, develop a network and give you the confidence to succeed in the world of work.

What advice would you give to graduates moving to London after graduation?

Get involved. Look to grow your network down here and the Alumni network is a great place to start. You can attend events in all sorts of areas across London for free using sites like Eventbrite. Get in touch with me if you need!

How did it feel being a part of Innovation for Global Growth?

It was really great going back to IGG to represent a business given that only a few years before I was on the other side as one of the students solving problems. There aren't many environments that give you a platform to engage in real life business problems where you can have a real impact. It was great to give back and I can safely say the IGG had a big impact on getting me to where I am today.
