Matthew graduated with a first class LLB(Hons) degree from Abertay University in July 2022. He is currently studying for an MLitt in Legal and Constitutional Studies at the University of St Andrews (2022-23), undertaken with a scholarship from the Clark Foundation for Legal Education.
At Abertay, Matthew is module tutor for the following Law Society and Faculty of Advocates accredited courses:
- LAW100 Legal Systems and Methods
- LAW107 Criminal Law
- LAW300 Property Law
Externally, Matthew is a Director and Trustee of Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (SC027015) and a student member of the Society of Writers to H.M. Signet (the W.S. Society), the Stair Society and the Selden Society.
Matthew has research interests in constitutional law, legal history, jurisprudence and comparative law and has written for the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland and the W.S. Society.
