Jamie O’Hare is a Teaching Fellow in the Division of Cybersecurity in the School of Design and Informatics. His teaching is predominantly focusing on Ethical Hacking modules. His research interests include topics beyond the core curriculum such as Internet-wide Scanning, Bug Bounties and Cybersecurity Pedagogy. Outwith Abertay University, Jamie is currently a moderator of the Cyber Scotland Connect group.
Jamie achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Security & Forensics, and an MSc (Distinction) in Advanced Security & Digital Forensics at Edinburgh Napier University. During the latter of which Jamie was appointed Associate Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University, before joining Abertay in 2019 as Teaching Fellow while working towards a Doctorate.
