I am currently a lecturer at Abertay University. Before this, I spent about 17 years in clinical practice as a registered general nurse within the NHS and private sectors. I have worked with various client groups, including people living with dementia and adults with learning disabilities.
For my PhD, I explored experiences and strategies to married Southern African-born women living in Scotland regarding HIV prevention. My research interests include public health, migration, gender roles, marginalised populations, and qualitative studies.
I completed the following at the University of Dundee: Diploma in Nursing in 2004; BSc Nursing in 2005; MSc Health and Social Care in 2009 and a PhD Nursing in 2019.
