Biography

I am a Research Fellow in Human-Computer Interaction in the domain of Usable Security and Privacy. In my current research, I use both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore how people can be more secure and private when online. I am also interested in using eye-tracking technology to understand how users interact with user interfaces and security measures.

Before, I looked at how people can be more aware of, manage, and understand their data access when wearing Everyday Augmented Reality Headsets.

Knowledge Exchange

NCR Atleos Financial Security Summit Academic Expert February 2026

I was invited to contribute as an Academic Expert at the NCR Atleos Financial Security Summit, an event that brought together international and domestic commercial organisations across the financial technology sector. Through this engagement, I supported knowledge exchange by translating academic research on usable security and human behaviour into insights for industry practitioners. I contributed academic perspectives on user-centred approaches to secure banking, informing discussions on the design and deployment of financial technologies that meet the needs of end users while aligning with the requirements of technology developers and partner organisations, and supporting understanding of usable, user-centred security practices at an international scale.

My research on XR privacy contributed to EU lawmakers in developing new laws and regulations for the ‘metaverse’.
