Dundee Business School secures CIPD accreditation for postgraduate Human Resource (HR) programmes

Two HR programmes at Abertay are now recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)

Two Masters courses at Abertay University’s Dundee Business School have been reaccredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Both the University’s MSc Human Resource Management (HRM) and MSc International Human Resource Management (IHRM) programmes are now recognised as CIPD Accredited Learning Providers following an extensive assessment process.

This accreditation means that graduates of either programme will be eligible to apply for professional CIPD membership upon successful completion of their degree, without the need for additional exams or assessments.

CIPD is the UK’s leading professional body for HR and people development, with more than 160,000 members worldwide. Its accreditation is widely recognised across sectors and countries, offering students a valuable stepping stone into the global HR profession.

Dr Sulakshana De Alwis, Programme Leader for the MSc HRM and IHRM programmes, said:

We are delighted to be recognised as a CIPD Accredited Learning Provider. This accreditation strengthens the value of our postgraduate programmes, equipping our students with a qualification that not only deepens their knowledge and skills but also directly connects them to a respected professional community. Our MSc graduates will now be able to enter the workplace with the added advantage of CIPD membership – a mark of professional credibility that is highly sought-after by employers in the UK and internationally.
