Abertay has been ranked in the UK's top 10 for student experience and enjoyed a series of positive rankings across the new Daily Mail and Guardian university guides.
The first ever edition of the new Daily Mail University Guide and the latest edition of the Guardian University Guide were both published today, ranking universities across the UK across a range of measures.
Abertay ranked 8th in the UK for overall student experience according to the Daily Mail and also ranked highly for teaching excellence (13th) and student support (14th).
In its rankings, the Daily Mail described Abertay as 'one of the great success stories of the British university sector' noting that 'students have scored the university consistently highly in the annual National Student Survey and it has an excellent track record for social inclusion'.
The latest results follow a strong performance in the National Student Survey 2023, which saw Abertay ranked top Scottish modern university and inside the UK top 10 for satisfaction with teaching.
There was further success in the latest Guardian University Guide for a series of Abertay's programmes, with biomedical science, games design and food science all scoring highly at UK level.
Principal & Vice-Chancellor, Professor Liz Bacon said: "I'm exceptionally proud of our hard-working academic and professional services staff today and also our colleagues at Abertay Students' Association. This latest run of positive rankings and satisfaction results are all the more pleasing because they demonstrate our excellence in teaching and learning, supporting our students, carrying out first-class research and providing a student experience that's among the very best in the country. For a university of our size to consistently achieve these results is a significant achievement and a great start to the new academic year."
