Abertay’s teaching quality shines in Guardian Good University Guide
Abertay University’s teaching quality has been recognised in the latest Guardian University Guide.
At institutional level, Abertay University ranked inside the top 25 of the 121 universities listed, on the two key measures of satisfaction with teaching and course satisfaction.
The ranking comes in the same month that Abertay was placed in the top 20 for teaching quality in the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide, having previously achieved the title of Sunday Times UK University of the Year for Teaching Quality 2021.
This year’s Guardian University Guide has further underlined Abertay’s reputation for teaching excellence at individual programme level, including:
- Nutrition and Food Science courses ranking top in Scotland and inside the UK top five on all measures
- Computer Science ranking in the UK top five on both teaching and course satisfaction
- Biomedical Science ranking in the UK top 10 for both teaching and course satisfaction
- Civil Engineering ranking top in Scotland and in the UK top five for teaching satisfaction
- Sociology ranking in the UK top 10 for teaching satisfaction
- Sports Science ranking top modern university in Scotland for teaching satisfaction
- Mental Health Nursing ranking 16th in the UK for teaching satisfaction
- Criminology ranking in the UK top 10 for course satisfaction
- Psychology ranking in the UK top 10 for course satisfaction
