Abertay has been ranked as the top Scottish modern university for both teaching quality and student experience in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.

It comes after Abertay achieved the highest increase in Overall Student Satisfaction in Scotland in this year’s National Student Survey results, with over 87% of final year students responding positively about their time at the institution.

Principal Professor Nigel Seaton said: “I’m absolutely delighted that the teaching quality and student experience at Abertay has been recognised in The Sunday Times Good University Guide.

“The hard work and commitment of our staff has created an outstanding learning environment and a genuine feeling of community on the Abertay campus.

“It’s great to see that recognised in this league table.”

According to the ranking, Abertay’s Civil Engineering, Law and Sports Science courses are top in Scotland for teaching quality.

Abertay’s Mental Health Nursing course is joint first in nursing in Scotland for graduate prospects, with 100% of alumni in professional or graduate level jobs six months after graduation.

The university’s Food Science programme is listed as one of the top 15 throughout the whole of the UK.

It’s been a year of celebration for Abertay, with the university’s videogames courses ranked best in Europe for the fifth year in a row by the annual Princeton Review, and in the top 20 globally.
