Connor Moir

After finishing his degree, Connor secured a job in San Francisco at a 24/7 soccer academy offering coaching to young kids. It’s a full-time role with a five-year visa which he can choose to extend once the time is up.

He said:

“I’m really looking forward to moving to San Francisco shortly. I’ve always wanted to coach in America so this is a dream come true. Abertay has been instrumental in shaping my journey and I’m grateful for everything I've learned there. I’m incredibly thankful to Abertay for giving me the skills and knowledge that led me to this job and the exciting journey ahead in San Francisco."

After leaving school, Connor initially studied at college before applying to Abertay through the UCAS Clearing process.

He described his experience with Clearing as extremely positive, highlighting the recruitment team's helpfulness during what was a stressful time. They were understanding, accommodating, and ensured he remained informed about the progress of his application.

Connor's course at Abertay provided him with numerous opportunities to gain practical work experience, including coaching kids in the local area. These hands-on experiences were invaluable in preparing him for his current role and equipped him with the skills and confidence needed to excel in his coaching career.
