Abertay Career Mentoring Scheme
Online and in-person opportunity
Could you or someone you know inspire the next generation of talent? Help to build a student’s confidence and gain new perspectives and professional development along the way. The Abertay Career Mentoring Scheme is recruiting industry mentors to support and inspire students to develop their employability and provide an insight into the working world before graduation.
- The Scheme runs from October to May with a recommended contact time of 8-12 hours.
- You are matched with a penultimate or final year student
- Meet online, in person or a mixture of both
- Training is provided to both mentors and mentees
- No prior experience is required
- A mentoring co-ordinator can be contacted at any time to answer queries

The entire Abertay community pays tribute to Lord Airlie
The Abertay community is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founding Chancellor, Lord Airlie.
Lord Airlie, also known as David Ogilvy Lyulph Gore Wolseley Anderson, the 12th Earl of Airlie, became Chancellor in 1994 when the University was still in its infancy. His guidance and leadership in those early days were instrumental in establishing Abertay as a global hub for computing and video games education.
"Lord Airlie's passing is a profound loss for everyone at Abertay. We will always be grateful for his leadership and his commitment to excellence that we continue to uphold today. We extend our deepest sympathies to Lord Airlie's family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time."
