Applying from Nigeria

You must apply through an accredited agent

Applications from Nigeria must be submitted through an Abertay University accredited agent and remain supported by that agent throughout the process. We cannot process direct applications from Nigeria.

See our accredited agents page for a list of approved partners, or email international@abertay.ac.uk if you are not sure what applies to you.

Undergraduate

UCAS

If you're considering applying to more than one university in the UK for undergraduate (UG) level studies, we recommend submitting your application through UCAS, the UK's University & Colleges Admissions Service. There is a helpful glossary to terms on their website to help make the application process as easy as possible.

Although the early decision deadline for UCAS applications is in January, we will accept applications after this date, either via UCAS or through direct application.

Direct Application

If Abertay is the only UK university that you'd like to apply to for your UG level studies, we recommend using our direct application form.

Study an Abertay University Pathway Programme in Nigeria

Abertay University works with Oxford International Education Group to offer pathway programmes in Business & Management and Computer Science, giving students in Nigeria an alternative route to undergraduate and postgraduate study at Abertay.

Students can complete an International Foundation Programme or Pre-Master’s Programme with Oxford International in Nigeria before progressing to an Abertay University degree in Scotland.

The International Foundation Programme is suitable for students with WAEC/WASSCE or NECO qualifications and provides a pathway to Year 2 of an Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer Science.

The Pre-Master’s Programme provides an important progression route for students who hold a Nigerian HND or Ordinary Bachelor’s degree (without Honours) and wish to progress to an eligible Master’s degree at Abertay University in Business & Management or Computer Science.

These programmes are designed to develop the academic, subject-specific and English language skills needed for successful university study.

Find out more about the pathway programmes and apply through Oxford International.
