The scholarships below are open to international students and those applying from England, Wales and Northern Ireland with a 2.1 or above for a postgraduate course.
Our MSc in Environment and Business will give you an in-depth understanding of environmental management and policy. Emphasis is on the practical application of environmental management so you can help businesses develop sustainable best practices. We’ll prepare you for a successful career in the emerging environmental sector.

We have many years’ experience in both environmental and business postgraduate education, and a high research rating in Environmental Science in Scotland.
This MSc extends your understanding of business skills that help protect the environment as part of your career. You’ll graduate able to embrace and manage sustainable challenges within your chosen field.
The programme can be studied full time for one year or over two years part-time.
Applicants should have
Full-time on-campus students will complete the degree in one year: The academic year consists of three terms with the Master’s dissertation module completed in term three.
Part-time on-campus students will complete the degree in two years: Year one consists of two terms, and Year two of three terms with the Master's dissertation module completed in the final term.
The Master’s project is an independent research project under guidance of supervisors.
The taught course will be assessed using a combination of written coursework, presentations, examinations and portfolios, and a written dissertation. Formal examinations, class tests and reports will also feature where relevant.
You’ll be exposed to a variety of teaching, learning and assessment practices throughout the programme. This includes lectures, seminars, written/oral presentations and project work.

Provides students with a series of practical management tools with which environmental issues can be managed, within both the public and private sector. Students are enabled to examine the policy, legal and ethical framework in which projects operate and to develop the necessary skills to manage diverse teams in a sustainable manner.
This module covers advanced aspects of the science, technology, socio−economic and environmental aspects of renewable energy production, with a particular emphasis on biofuels.
The complexity of project management and the tools and techniques to support successful management. Carry out an investigation into a project failure and recommend alternative actions which could have been taken. This module examines contemporary theories and developments in Strategic Management Accounting in organisations, explores new concepts and techniques and the impact of these in support of strategic decision making.
Regulatory and technical aspects of waste and wastewater treatment and management. Module content: Waste & Contaminated Land Regulations, Waste Characterisation, Collection, Transport and Storage, Waste Management and Treatment Technologies, Contaminated Land Management and Remediation, Wastewater Management and Treatment, Sludge Treatment and Management.
This module is designed to introduce postgraduate students to research methods and statistical analysis. Theoretical, historical, and statistical concepts are taught in lectures with hands-on practical lab sessions using both quantitative and qualitative techniques that allow students to put theory into practice.
Individual in-depth investigation of a particular aspect of their own specialism. An opportunity to undertake individually an in-depth investigation in a relevant area of interest within an applied context in industry, consolidating theory and examining practice and providing a basis for the writing of a substantial dissertation.
Please note: this course will run over 16 months full-time and 28 months part-time if you begin your studies in January.
