1.Excellent employment prospects: Employment rates are very high for our Mental Health Nursing graduates–100% of our graduates are in nursing, midwifery or welfare positions six months after finishing the course (Destination of Leavers from HE record).
2. We're accredited: Our Mental Health Nursing degree is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), which leads to registration as a mental health nurse.
3. You'll learn from practice-active staff: Our academic staff come from a wide variety of clinical backgrounds, with some continuing to work in practice. This ensures you benefit from their first-hand knowledge.
4. Work placements: We have an excellent relationship with the NHS, and our Mental Health Nursing programme has a variety of placements within the sector. This means you’re able to put what you learn in the classroom into practice.
5. TOP in Scotland for Academic Support: Our BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing was ranked TOP in Scotland for academic support in the 2024 National Student Survey.
