If you've firmly accepted your Abertay offer for September 2026, there's no need to book accommodation yet. We'll email you a personal booking code with full instructions as soon as booking for Parker House opens. This is typically in early Spring.
Abertay has already reserved rooms at Parker House — the availability shown on their website does not include our allocation, so don't worry if it looks low.

Finding somewhere to live is one of the biggest worries for new students but Dundee is one of the most affordable student cities in the UK, with a wide range of quality accommodation.
We’ve partnered with iQ Student Accommodation to offer a limited number of rooms at Parker House at a preferential rate exclusively for Abertay students. These rooms are priced below iQ’s standard rate and they’re allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once our preferential-rate rooms are allocated, Parker House may still have rooms available at iQ’s standard rate, and Dundee has several other quality providers too.
You won’t miss the booking opening. We’ll email every offer-holder when booking goes live, with a direct link. You won’t need to check the iQ website or guess the date.
Parker House availability on iQ’s own website doesn’t reflect Abertay’s preferential allocation. If their site shows limited availability or “sold out,” that may be their general listings rather than our allocation.
Even if our preferential-rate rooms are filled, you still have options. You can book at Parker House directly at iQ’s standard rate, or choose from several other quality student accommodation providers in Dundee.

You can still book at Parker House directly through iQ’s website at their standard rate. Same building, same facilities, same all-bills-included deal — just at iQ’s published price rather than our discounted rate.

We know accommodation is a big decision for families. Here’s what matters most:
Cost: Parker House's bronze rooms start from ÂŁ159.47 per week. You'd be looking at a 43-week lease at our preferential rate, with all bills included.
 Safety: Parker House has 24/7 on-site security, CCTV, and secure entry. iQ is one of the UK’s largest student accommodation providers.
If your child misses the preferential rate, Parker House rooms may still be available at iQ’s standard rate. There’s unlikely to be a scenario where they can’t find accommodation in Dundee.

New students from outside of the Dundee area (postcodes DD1-5), students with disabilities, and care leavers will be given priority when booking accommodation.

Abertay has no control over room allocation for other groups.
