Global Talent Visa

The Global Talent visa is designed to attract world-class professionals to the UK. It replaced the Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa in February 2020.  This route is for talented and promising individuals in the fields of:

• Science
• Digital technology
• Arts and culture

To apply, you must be at least 18 years old and work in academia or research. Applicants typically need an endorsement from a recognised body in their field or have secured a grant from an organisation listed as an endorsed funder or approved research organisation.

Applicants are usually endorsed through one of four routes:

1. Academic and Research Appointments
2. Individual Fellowships
3. Endorsed Funders
4. Peer Review
