Abertay values and promotes equality and diversity for staff and students. In line with our strategic aims, we work to ensure that all members of our community treat one another with respect and dignity.
The University believes that all employees and students have the right to expect, and that it has a responsibility to ensure, that no individual will be disadvantaged as a consequence of their age, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

Abertay is a member of Advance HE and we work closely with them. We hold Athena Swan and Race Equality Charters, and our staff contribute as panel chairs/members. Staff also present at Advance HE conferences and seminars.
