The Haunting of Wakes End - An exploration of established media techniques within game visualisation

An investigation of commonly used artistic techniques within established visual media, like film and photography, and how this knowledge is used by modern video game designers.
To apply the information gathered, I built a library in 3D space. I utilised the knowledge of the techniques to support my production methods. The project focuses on environmental storytelling. The story featured is adapted from a novel called 'Wakenhyrst' by Michelle Paver in which a young girl is trapped living with her father who's slowly going insane. I aim to reflect the mood shift of the book within the environment through the use of lighting.
