Tools for crafting Digital Worlds

This project focused on investigating and combining various tools used for the creation of 3D environments. Topics investigated include workflows for the design and layout of digital environments, pipelines for producing assets for, and the use of, unreal engine’s nanite system, unreal engines lumen real-time lighting system, and node-based assets production workflows. The final outcome of the project is a linear jungle environment in Unreal engine, that could be used in a semi-realistic first or third-person game. This project also produced a Workflow Guide detailing the technical processes used and a Design Document which details the findings, reasoning, and decisions made regarding the use and combinations of workflows and tools.
