My Toy is Alive

We have all, at one point in our lives, sat in front of a screen or picked up a book and felt immersed in the story. Through the use of performance behind the scenes from animators, we are able to create an empathetic character resulting in an overall better performance.

The project aims to create a fun performance by researching and applying techniques on how to evoke emotion through movement in a character as the animator. The aim is to look more into the practices of the animator as the performer more than the principles of animation.

My Toy is Alive

‘My Toy is Alive’ seeks to immerse you in a fun and engaging narrative character performance.

Motivation

I have always loved film and I wanted to be able to be a part of a film that inspires emotion in audiences one day. One of the critical ways you can do this, is through characters. So a character animation project seemed like a great idea.
