Building and Analysis of a Demographical Simulation System for Video Games

“Building and Analysis of a Demographical Simulation System for Video Games” is a 2020 Digital Graduate Show project by Michal Wiatrowski, a Computer Game Applications Development student at Abertay University.

Synopsis

Data concerning the characteristics of, and information about, the population are often compressed and generalised in digital simulations. The main objective of this tool is to keep the individualism of the population within the simulation.

The project aims to maintain and keep the information accessible while providing a fluid simulation, and to provide developers with a tool that is intuitive and easily modifiable.

Building and Analysis of a Demographical Simulation System for Video Games

A modifiable and expandable tool to help developers simulate demographical data for video games.

“Building and Analysis of a Demographical Simulation System for Video Games” is a 2020 Digital Graduate Show project by Michal Wiatrowski, a student at Abertay University.

Motivation

I was interested in how games such as SimCity operate and I wanted to create an application to generate realistic demographical data.
