Improving Game Replayability through a Looter Shooter Prototype

For my honours project, I am focusing on replayability in games to see their impact on a games longevity and how improving it can encourage players to play a game for longer. To do this, I am creating a first-person looter shooter prototype in Unreal Engine 5. I am aiming to create the core loop for the game and at least one complete mission concept. Within this, I am specifically focusing on gameplay and mechanic design, however I am also covering other areas as required. Some planned features of the prototype include: customisable loadouts, procedurally generated levels and content, and a variety of enemies.
