Synopsis
This project is a game prototype for a story-driven indie game; a top-down hybrid game combining 3D top-down as a base with multiple genres of play-styles. We are experimenting with the application of game systems and mechanics and how the narrative and game design will work in tandem with each other. The game's story follows your protagonist Mariano Archangela who is a Soldier and Consigliere of Luca Rosolino and Paulie Cascone, a trio in the organised crime family of Italian American mobsters in the 90s, as we enter his thoughts and memories of why he was a target of killing.

'One Way Ride' is a 2023 Digital Graduate Show project by Kshitij Khandare, a Games Design and Production student at Abertay University.
Project Motivation
Video games, TV Shows and movies especially Grand Theft Auto IV, The Sopranos and Goodfellas are my main motivation and how the gangster storyline resonates with the audience and players on a moral level about the good, the bad and the ugly. But more in focus of entertaining the audience by a narrative driven interactive experience.
