"Entertaining and Spontaneously Educating Animations" is a 2022 Digital Graduate Show project by Kremena Halcheva, a Computer Arts student at Abertay University.

Synopsis

Animated movies are and always have been a favourite leisure activity for children and young adults for a long time. Angus is a fun and educational TV show for young kids and adults. The cartoon talks about a 10-year-old boy, Angus, who finds a mystical bright red rock and goes on an adventure to solve the mystery behind it. Throughout the full story, which consists of ten episodes, Angus faces different obstacles, encounters peculiar mythological creatures (from Scottish folklore) and reveals the history of a glorious Scottish clan. The animated show is suitable for children as young as 5, the episodes are structured in such a way that they are cheerful and amusing on the surface for the youngest viewers whilst the older audiences would pick more on the details and the connections between them. In every episode there is a bit of Scottish history, cuisine, mythology, weather and fauna.

Project Motivation

To put it quite simply - Scotland. Just Scotland on it's own. One amazing and vibrant country that has been through a lot and has many hidden gems if people are observant enough.
