Technical Deconstruction and Recreation of Cyberpunk 2077 Assets

Over the course of this project, I will be researching, deconstructing and evaluating workflows/pipelines used to create modern AAA game art assets. I hope that this research will help me to develop my 3D modelling skills; while also helping to vary my technical understanding of these workflows. Using this knowledge, I aim to create a 3D character model and accompanying weapon asset; with the goal of emulating the fidelity of original game assets, as well as I can, at my current artistic level. To accompany this practical section of my project, I will also be producing a technical dossier. I will be documenting my findings during my research phase. Featured in this dossier, will be detailed deconstructions of methods I looked into during my research. I will be making an argument for and against these methods, which will be done through text, flow charts and/or other methods when applicable.

Technical Deconstruction and Recreation of Cyberpunk 2077 Assets

I will be evaluating workflows/pipelines used in AAA character/weapon production, recreating assets from the game world of Cyberpunk 2077. During this research I will be creating a dossier, showcasing my research, where I compare different techniques and the use case for these.
