Freshers and Welcome Week includes online and on-campus welcome talks and events running from 11-15 September, kicking off with a School welcome.
This is a week of events packed with information, activities, and advice across the week from academic and support staff.
You will find out all about it in The Freshers and Welcome Week Guide, which is available on the Intranet. You need to activate your Abertay IT account to login and access it - check your emails about how to do that.
The Students' Association are running the 2023 Freshtival, a week packed full of social activities from 9-15 September.
This includes craft sessions, outdoor games, comedy nights, picnics and more. Don't forget to book your tickets (through their website), as spaces are limited.
Register with a doctor: All students who have moved here should register with a local GP (doctor) as soon as possible.
There is no charge to register, and no charge for GP consultations and prescriptions in Scotland. You can find a list of local GPs on the NHS Scotland website.
Hawkhill Medical Centre and Hillbank Health Centre are both a short walk away from the University.
