Synopsis
'Lost Control' is a tattoo portfolio presented in the form of a zine. The tattoos included in the zine loosely follow the narrative thread of loosing control, with the designs slowly becoming more and more unruly and disturbing. The designs themself are inspired by different tattoo styles, such as illustrative, traditional, blackwork, linework and medieval. The subject matter of the tattoo designs include body horror, the macabre, and surrealism. All designs are made with Procreate for the iPad and traditional materials such as acrylic inks and watercolour paint.

This project is a tattoo portfolio zine based on macabre and surrealist themes, following the loose narrative thread of lost control.

Project Motivation
My motivation for this project was fuelled by my desire to become a tattoo artist in the future, so I used this project as an opportunity to expand my knowledgeable in this field. I have been interested the macabre genre and surrealism for a very long time so this was also be a driving force behind this project.
