Abertay scientist Dr Kimberley Bennett kicked off a public lecture series for the British Science Association - Tayside and Fife Branch with a fascinating talk on the state of our oceans.
The lecture, which was a featured topic selected by last year’s audiences, focussed on Dr Bennett’s ground-breaking research on how toxic chemicals are affecting seal pups.
She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have been able to open the British Science Association – Tayside and Fife Branch’s 2019 public lecture series.
“It was a great night, with an interesting discussion and fantastic questions from the audience. I was particularly impressed and inspired by the curiosity and engagement from the primary school children who had come along, and I look forward to attending future events.”
