International and EU students and applicants

Abertay has a diverse community of international students from all over the world and we are pleased to welcome you to Dundee.

Immigration & Visas

All international students should be aware of changes to UK immigration arrangements as a result of Brexit. Current students can find out more here and applicants here.

Coming to Dundee from overseas

It is important to remember that Covid guidelines in Scotland will be different from other countries, so check the Covid-19 pages on the Scottish Government website for the most up-to-date information, including actions you should take regarding travel and forms you will need to fill out.

Before you travel to Scotland you must submit the Public Health Passenger Locator form and give details of what your address will be while here.

International quarantine arrangements

It is important to be aware that you may have to quarantine on arriving in Scotland, depending on which country you are coming from. You can check this here. Quarantine means you must travel straight to your student accommodation following your arrival at the airport and stay there for two weeks. Quarantine rules still apply if you are travelling back to Dundee after the winter break.

During a quarantine you should not leave your accommodation if possible. If you need food or medicines try to arrange for these to be delivered. Support is always available and you can call 01382 308833 or contact the Support Enquiry Zone via sez@abertay.ac.uk if you need anything.

You can find more information in our FAQs.
